Joseph Sawyer has officially made his return to Game Changer Wrestling for the first time since 2020, and has a date with the GCW World Champion, Atticus Cogar, in two weeks.
Following Atticus Cogar’s successful title defense against Devon Monroe, Cogar cut a promo knocking all the fan favorites who have been “gifted” World Championship matches because GCW comes to their city. He followed this up issuing an open challenge for GCW Homecoming Night 1. He continued on and decided to call out the man who has been teasing him during his matches anonymously, Joseph Sawyer.
Sawyer, formerly known as Joe Gacy in the WWE, was recently released from the company. Now, Sawyer is unhinged, and has nothing holding him back from being as brutal and violent as he wants to. The last time we saw Sawyer in a GCW ring, was in July of 2020 at the “Backyard Wrestling” event in eight-man tag action.
Now, he’s wasting little time of endearing himself to the GCW fans, yet again, as he looks to capture the GCW World Championship from perhaps one of the most dangerous World Champions in GCW history, Atticus Cogar.
