AND NEW!
Kay Lee Ray is the new EVE Champion after defeating AEW’s Kris Statlander in controversial fashion at Pro Wrestling Eve’s Elite Encounters II.
Ray showed her true colors after Ray superkicked the referee during the contest. She then received some help from Session Moth Martina and the EVE Championship as Martina hit Statlander with the championship title. Statlander later attempted the Big Bang Theory on Ray, but it was reversed and Statlander’s head was driven into the championship belt not once, but twice. Abi came out as as referee and made the three count, as Ray became the new champion, ending Statlander’s reign at 72 days.
Kay Lee Ray’s first title defense will take place on December 11th as she faces Abi.
This was one of four championships that changed hands on the show. The event took place in Wolverhampton, England and streamed live on myAEW.com.
