This review comes to us from a fan who will hopefully soon be joining the team, Ron Freeman who will be focusing on the AAPW product. Let him know your feedback and be sure to follow AAPW.

Only their 7th aired Episode, AAPW is making steady improvements with their television production and commentary. In this episode we see Mike masters take on K.C. Jackson, who is a proven crowd favorite, Playboy Paul Rose takes on Farmer Billy Hills, and in the main event the AAPW Tag Team championships are on the line when Heath Hatton and Curly face off against Golden Boy Greg Anthony and Serial Thriller Shane Rich.

Mike Masters
vs.
“The Main Attraction” K.C. Jackson
Recap: Masters, who comes across as a poor man’s, slightly out of shape Lex Lugar, seems to like starting each match off with a pose down. This usually doesn’t end well for someone. K.C. on the other hand will play the game and more often than not has the fans on his side.
Review: The match starts with Masters usual forced pose down until K.C. has his attentions on the crowd. It’s at this point that Masters attacks from behind taking The Main Attraction from the middle turn buckle into a beat down. Fighting off Masters, K.C. attempts to get some offense going with a flurry of clothes lines and drop kicks taking Mike by surprise. The match goes back and forth with Masters taking his usual short cuts. At some point Brooklyn Bobby, AAPW’s resident biker wanna-be, steps out of the back and spends several minutes watching the match before going back through the curtain. After several near falls from both men, Masters gets K.C. into a fireman’s carry and attempts what seems to be a Death Valley Driver, which K.C. slips through into a roll-up and the 1,2,3 for the win.

Next up is an interview with Golden Boy Greg Anthony and Serial Thriller Shane Rich. Both men are good on the mic and more than capable competitors. The usual trash talk ensues throughout the interview with Anthony and Rich boasting they will take the titles from Hatton and Curly.

“Playboy” Paul Rose
vs.
“Farmer” Billy Hills
Recap: Playboy?? Ummmm I think not! Paul Rose brings bad bad memories of Adrian Adonis, only not near as pretty. Making his debut in AAPW Billy Hills, hailing from the hometown

of WWE Legend Hillbilly Jim, is just a straight no holds barred country boy. The match has some amusing back and forth between the 2 men in the beginning. It also brings back memories of matches between the likes of Tugboat and Typhoon, 2 Mack trucks on a collision course.
Review: For both men being well over 200 lbs, they have some pretty impressive moves in the ring. The Playboy for example has one hell of a drop kick for a man of his size. The match has its usual slobber knocker big man moments, unfortunately those moments don’t take away from the sluggishness both men seem to have in the ring. Although both men are talented wrestlers both need some serious cardio work. After Paul Rose having control during much of the match, Billy Hills begins to get some offense going with a string of clothes lines and body slams before Playboy takes a short cut to regain the momentum. Playboy Paul Rose gets the win with a VERY impressive side walk slam taking the 300+ lb Billy Hills off his feet .

Next is an interview with “The Old School Warrior” Axe Allwardt, who does some trash talking on AAPW Champion Edmund “Livewire” McGuire. The interview ends with Allwardt claiming to be “THE MAN” in AAPW.

“Golden Boy” Greg Anthony and “Serial Thriller” Shane Rich
vs.
Heath Hatton and Curly with Curly Jr.
Recap: This match is for the AAPW Tag Team Championship belts. Greg Anthony and Shane Rich claim to be the standard bearers in AAPW, and seem pretty sure of their selves going into the match. Curly, who is admittedly a favorite of my own, and Hatton are just fun to watch in the ring.
Review: Hatton and Curly come out to the ring with Curly Jr., who is always in tow with dad, close behind. After some hijinks and playing to the crowd as usual from the Curly’s the match gets going with Curly and Hatton in the ring. Rich tries a pose down with Curly, who wins hands down. Rich then tags in Anthony who also tries the pose down only to send Curly into a fit of laughter. After some back and forth and head games from Anthony and Rich the match actually gets going with Curly and Anthony. The match goes back and forth with quick tags between both teams, usually with Hatton and Curly in control. Rich and Anthony take their usual short cuts and play the usual head games of goading the other team and keeping them separated. After the Ref is knocked out, from an accidental clothes line from Curly, another ref is quickly sent in. The Tag Champs retain their titles with a missile drop kick from Hatton to Rich from the top rope. After the bell the original ref comes to and begins to argue with the replacement ref. The original ref then reverses the decision and awards the “W” to Rich and Anthony, but Hatton and Curly retain the belts.
