We’re back with the 11th edition of the Pro Wrestling Evolution EVO Spotlight. Today we go in depth with a young star on the rise in the SouthEast. A self confessed, tried & true country boy making his presence known not only in EVO but ROH & EVOLVE as well. This week the EVO Spotlight shines on…..

Adam Page

Hometown: “As far as the postal service is concerned, I live in a small town called Virgilina on the Virginia-Carolina border.  I’ve always had myself announced as being from Aaron’s Creek, VA, which I feel is more true to my identity: it’s the community that I was born and raised in.  It’s also a lot easier for a ring announcer to read and not butcher.”

Trained By: “I’d really like to be able to list everyone I’ve ever wrestled here  This whole thing is a work in progress, and I’d be a fool not to say that the most valuable training I’ve gotten has been these four years of experience.  If you break it down to the basics though, I’d say I was trained by Justin Flash, Jason Blade, and Jimi Love.  I also managed to graduate from Jimmy Valiant’s wrestling school”

How did you get started in wrestling?:  “Living in the Virginia-Carolina area, this place is steeped in mid-atlantic wrestling tradition and folklore, so it had always been kind of in my life.  I think I saw wrestling on television for the first time when I was around nine or ten years old, and it was love at first sight.  When I was about 11 or 12 years old, my cousin Dana started taking me to little independent shows around Pelham and Wentworth.  There I watched guys like Justin Flash, Jason Blade, Ric Converse, Corey Edsel, Brass Munkey, Steve Greene, and tons of other guys.  A few years later, Dana ended up dating Justin Flash, and I took advantage of the situation.  When I was about 15 or 16, I started traveling and training with Justin Flash and Jason Blade, with help from tons of other guys around.  I had my first match when I was sixteen, and wrestling and I began “going steady”.  I’d say that over four years later, we’re in a pretty mature and committed relationship now.”

Promotions Worked: “Ring of Honor, Evolve, Northeast Wrestling, Pro Wrestling EVO, Premier Wrestling Xperience, Carolina Wrestling Federation Mid-Atlantic, Pro Wrestling Superstars, Pure Pro Wrestling, Allied Independent Wrestling Federations, Squared Circle Wrestling Alliance, and plenty more that slip the mind.  I’ve been blessed to be able to travel to places like Los Angeles, Toronto, and New York to wrestle as well.  Completely mind-blowing”

Titles Held:  CWF Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship, CWF Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championships, CWF Mid-Atlantic International Trios Title, SCWA Heavyweight Championship, Pure Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Championship

Wrestling Influences: ” I like to imagine that if Shawn Michaels and Ricky Steamboat begat a child, and that child produced a child with Dusty Rhodes, I would end up wrestling a lot like this three-way love child.”

Favorite Opponent(s):  Ray Kandrack, Jimi Love, Louis Moore, The Devil

Favorite Matches:  “versus Eddie Edwards (PWX), versus Roderick Strong (PWX), versus Justin Flash (Ladder Matches), and probably many, many more that I just can’t recall at the moment”

Favorite Matches (Others):  “Honestly, ether it’s mone I’ve never been one of those guys to pick favorite matches of all time and drool over them.  I think most any match that you watch has quality, why-drawing ability, tremendous athleticism, or even just the little things someone does that most people don’t notice.

Thoughts on PWEvo or Talents:  “Man, people say things all the time to put over the companies they work for, but this is forreal.  PWEvo has HANDS DOWN some of the best guys in the entire country wrestling for them.  The cumulative talent and potential of all these guys together is tremendous.  The production is awesome too, it’s something I appreciate.”

EVO Year In Review: While Adam Page has been working hard and making a name for himself throughout the SouthEast over the last four years he is one of the newer additions to the Pro Wrestling Evo roster. Page made his debut in June at EVO’s first Ippv ‘Live & In Stereo’ and impressed the live crowd, Ippv viewers and EVO officials as well. Page came up short in his EVO debut but will return on August 25th on Ippv to face the returning Caleb Konley. This will be another big test for the popular, athletic, country fried rising star.   PWEvo continues to challenge Page with the best on their roster and he isn’t backing down, not even a little bit.

2012 Mission Statement:  “Win some matches, pull some bacca, and enjoy family, friends, and opportunity.”
