Here is the recap and review of Beyond Wrestling Perfection Or Vanity on February 26th, 2023. This event was held at the White Eagle Ballroom in Worcester, MA.

We open up the broadcast with Channing Thomas in the ring alongside Sidney Bakabella. Sidney cuts a promo for Thomas while the crowd boos. Thomas Santell comes down to the ring and enters the ring to start the match.

Channing Thomas w/ Sidney Bakabella vs. Thomas Santell

Santell starts off the match strong and controlled the early action. Channing changes momentum of match with a knee to the stomach. After going back and forth with near falls, Sidney grabs Santell’s leg from under the rope. This is while Santell is trying hit a suplex on Channing. Channing falls on top of him while Sidney continues to hold Santell’s leg. The ref does not see this and counts to three.

Result: Channing Thomas defeats Thomas Santell with help from Sidney Bakabella.

Four Way Match: Ichiban vs. Desmond Cole vs. Aaron Rourke vs. Bobby Orlando

Match starts off with all four wrestlers in the ring. It was action packed from the start. Ichiban does a dive through the second rope onto Cole & Rourke outside the ring. This was followed right up with Orlando doing an up & over dive onto the three outside the ring. Rourke pops up and performs a moonsault from second turnbuckle onto the other three superstars.

All wrestlers involved did a great job staying busy and involved during the match. Each superstar took turns performing moves in the ring and disrupting pinfall counts for others. Match ends with Orlando hitting his cutter on Rourke to get the pinfall and win.

Result: Bobby Orlando defeats Aaron Rourke, Desmond Cole, & Ichiban.

Clara Carreras vs. Shannon Levangie

Both competitors had moments in this match. It went back and forth. Both hit a double clothesline on each other. With that, music plays & Megan Bayne comes down to the ring. She lays waste to Carreras & Shannon Levangie.

Result: Clara Carreras vs. Shannon Levangie is ruled a No Contest due to interference from Megan Bayne.

Rickey Shane Page vs. Ray Jazz

Ray Jazz takes the mic and gives the Jazz tip of the day. Crowd chants RSP is my favorite wrestler!

Jazz uses his speed early on in the match to avoid RSP. After a few tie ups, RSP hits Jazz with a low blow while ref was trying to break them apart and didn’t see. At this point RSP takes control of the match and it remains that way for some time.

Jazz turns the tide of the match by hitting RSP’s neck on the top rope. Jazz shows his strength hitting RSP with a German suplex. RSP comes back with Swanton from the top rope on Jazz. Back and forth we continue to go! RSP hits a cutter and frog splash from the top rope but gets a two count. RSP was going for a big shot when Jazz reversed him with a beautiful backslide to get the three count and the win!

Result: Ray Jazz defeats RSP via pinfall.

Rickey Shane Page makes an announcement after the match. He states he signed his first contract in 22 years and it’s with MLW. Crowd chants “you deserve it!” He said all the years of grinding and missing time with his love ones, all finally paid off. He closed by telling everyone there to just never give up, things will work out. It was an emotional speech and his accomplishment of signing with a major promotion is well deserved. Congratulations to Rickey Shane Page!

Allie Katch vs. Love, Doug

Before the match starts the crowd chants “this is awkward”. There were definitely some awkward moments, which is obviously what they were going for in telling this story.

Love, Doug offered Allie a bouquet of roses, to which she kicked him in the face. Through the match they would look at each other with a hesitation before performing a move on the other.  The finish came with Allie going for a shot but instead climbs on top of Love, Doug. He just laid there as they looked into each other’s eyes, enjoying the moment while the ref counted three.

Result: Allie Katch defeats Love, Doug via pinfall.

Little Mean Kathleen & Ted Goodz come down to ringside. LMK yelled that she is engaged to Doug. Tells Doug if he wants out of the engagement he has to earn it. She demanded a match right now, and if her team wins, Doug & her have to get married! The match is made.

LMK & Ted Goodz vs. Allie Katch & Love, Doug

After some back and forth action between both teams, the end came when LMK performed a Duddly Dog on Allie Katch to pick up the pinfall win. It was a short match but served its purpose to further the storyline. Doug has to get married to LMK, and the reluctance on his face as he was leaving with them was terrific!

Result: LMK & Ted Goodz defeats Allie Katch & Love, Doug via pinfall.

Slade vs. Andy Brown

This was another short match but was not bad while it lasted. High spot was a T-Bone suplex Slade hit on Brown. Slade then applied a rear naked choke and Brown passed out. The ref called for the bell.

Result: Slade defeats Andy Brown via submission.

Above The Rest (Gabriel Skye & Tristan Thai) vs. Mane Event (Jay Lyon & Midas Black)

Match starts off and during the match we lost video feed and connection. Feed was down for most of the match, which was unfortunate because I was looking forward to the match. The feed did come back up in time for the finish. Above The Rest hit their move on Midas to get the three count and victory.

Result: Above The Rest defeats Mane Event via pinfall.

Max Caster vs. CPA

Max Caster comes out scissoring fans as he made his way to the ring. He gets in the ring and pulls out a mic. He starts insulting the fans there in Worcester. He also states how he’s “the best wrestler alive”, to where the crowd starts chanting for Zack Sabre Jr.

Caster hits CPA with a chain. He took control and dominated the early part of this match. CPA comes back by hitting a running powerbomb, then a missile drop kick from the top rope for a near fall. CPA continues the offense by hitting a flip dive from the ring apron onto Caster outside.

Back in the ring CPA hits an elbow drop from the top rope for another near fall. Caster went to hit CPA with the chain again but CPA blocked it. The ref saw the chain this time and confiscated it. Behind the referee’s back, Caster hits CPA with a low blow kick and put the figure four leglock on him. CPA taps out and submits. It was cool to see Max Caster back to his singles heel gimmick.

Result: Max Caster defeats CPA via submission.

Willow Nightingale comes out to a tremendous pop. She has an open challenge. Dan Barry is her opponent.

Willow Nightingale vs. Dan Barry

Dan Barry hit a springboard back elbow. Nightingale comes back with several blows. She slammed Barry out on the ring apron. Dan hit a senton and gets a near fall. Willow then tied him up on the mat and they hit clotheslines on each other simultaneously.

Barry hits a back elbow. Nightingale comes back with a German Suplex, then hits a rolling cannonball in the corner for a near fall. Barry hit an Air Raid Crash & a Swanton for a near fall. The ending comes when Nightingale hits a Pounce and then a gutwrench powerbomb to get the three count.

Result: Willow Nightingale defeats Dan Barry via pinfall.

Zack Sabre Jr vs. Ryan Clancy

Everyone is pumped to see Sabre back in a Beyond Wrestling ring for the first time since 2017! They traded reversals and ended back up in a standoff. Sabre went to work on the Clancy’s arm. Clancy tried to get a cross-armbreaker but Sabre escaped.

Sabre continued to focus on the left arm. Clancy applied a half-crab, then hit a backbreaker. Sabre hit a Pele Kick on the left arm, then applied an armbreaker, but Clancy reached the ropes for a break. They traded rollups and then Sabre hit some European Uppercuts and a rollup for a two count. Clancy came back with a dropkick for a two count. Sabre went back to the cross-armbreaker and Clancy had to tapout. This was a fantastic wrestling match as expected and didn’t disappoint!

Result: Zack Sabre Jr. defeats Ryan Clancy via submission.

Brad Hollister comes out from the back and attacks Clancy. Sabre approaches Hollister who quickly exits to the back. Sabre and Clancy then pose together. Ricky Shane Page comes out and  joins Alyssa Marino and Drew Cordeiro on commentary for the main event.

IWTV World Tag Team Championship: Violence Is Forever (Dominic Garrini & Kevin Ku) (c) vs. Miracle Generation (Dustin Waller & Kylon King)

They start brawling before the bell. Garrini hit a chop on Kylon and VIF kept King in their corner. Waller makes a hot tag and hit a couple of bodyslams. Garrini then hit a kneedrop from the top rope on Waller. VIF was back in control on offense. Ku hit a Regal Plex. Then King hit a double suplex. All four battled in the ring.

MG hit a kick and brainbuster combo. King hit a moonsault and Waller followed up with a 450 Splash for a near fall. Ku hit a clothesline on Waller. Garrini then hit a piledriver on King on the outside ring apron. Inside the ring, Waller hit a handspring back stunner on Ku for a 2 1/2 count. Garrini hits a Muscle Buster, and Ku follows with a doublestomp from the top rope for pin, but King breaks it up. King hits a suplex on Garrini and then a suplex from the top rope. Waller immediately followed by hitting a frogsplash from the top rope for the pin. Miracle Generation are the new champions!

Results: Miracle Generation (Kylon King & Dustin Waller) defeat Violence is Forever (c) (Kevin Ku & Dominic Garrini) to win the IWTV Tag Team Titles

Overall: All in all this was a very good card. It was highlighted by the return of ZSJ and the crown of new champions in Miracle Generation. You can watch Beyond Wrestling’s Perfection Or Vanity on VOD anytime on IWTV.
