Lowlife Louie debuted back in 1997. Specifically June 26th 1997 and that was is in Brooklyn, New York. At this time he wrestled under a mask and was going by the name Jackal. Louie has now been in the business for 26 years.

On April 14th it was announced that he would be inducted into the GCW Deathmatch Hall of Fame. He will be the second inductee into the 2023 Deathmatch Hall of Fame class.

Louie has no doubt inspired many wrestlers along his career and it is definitely a career worth talking about. From 1999 up until 2008 Louie was wrestling in a variety of different promotions including JAPW, ACW, USA Pro, ROH, IWA Mid South and a few others along the way.

In this time he also picked up two championships along the way, one of them being the JAPW Suicidal Championship. He defeated Homicide in a Christmas Tree Deathmatch to pick up the championship. He went on to hold the JAPW championship for over 200 days. He also won the UXW Tag Team Championships and he teamed up with Monsta Mack to gain these championships.

Louie really is a deathmatch legend if you take a look at his career and all the people he has worked with. From 2011-2016 he worked in JCW, GCW, OPW and a few more.

In JCW he teamed up with Slayer in 2013 to face Gary Wolfe and Jeff Cannonball and then in 2014 he teamed up with Monsta Mack to face The Down Boyz. In the same year at OPW he faced another deathmatch legend that person being Matt Tremont in a fan brings the weapon match.

In 2015 Louie appeared in GCW taking on Nate Hatred and Archadia at two different events. One of the events being a Nick Gage Invitational. From 2016 onwards you see Louie’s name pop up in more places.

I highly recommend that you check out and learn more about Lowlife Louie because without him I think it’s safe to say deathmatch wrestling wouldn’t be the same.

One thing you’ll notice about Lowlife Louie is that no matter what the stipulation is he finds a way to thrive in it. From fans bring the weapons matches to street fights to barbed wire bat matches, Louie really has done it all.

At H2O he’s had matches with many of the homegrown talent that H2O has across these years from 2017 onwards. All of their catalogue is on IWTV and I highly recommend you watch it. Some of my favorite matches include Louie vs Mitch Vallen at H2O Written In Blood, Mitch vs Louie vs Jimmy Lyon at Hardcore Kingdom 3 and one of my favorite more recent matches was Lowlife Louie and Louie Jr taking on Alex Stretch and Anthraxx.

In GCW more recently he’s taken on Nick Gage and Mance Warner. The Mance Warner match took place at Nick Gage Invitational 5 which I believe is on Fite TV and you can watch it for just $7.99 a month, which includes GCW’s back catalogue.

In OPW he has taken on Jeff Cannonball, Stan Stylez, Drew Blood and many more in his time there. You can catch some of these matches on IWTV. Whilst OPW is on a hiatus it’s definitely worth checking out what is on IWTV as I’ve always found it very enjoyable.

At ICW NHB Louie has made a couple of appearances taking on two deathmatch legends in their own rights. One being Danny Demanto and the other one being John Wayne Murdoch. Both of these matches I really enjoyed watching and one thing you learn about Louie is his creativity to deathmatch wrestling always finding a way to change things up.

The 2023 Deathmatch Hall of Fame will take place on Saturday June 3rd during GCW’s Tournament of Survival 8 weekend at The Showboat in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
