The show starts off by showing us what appears to be a night out in Tijuana. We then go into a hotel room where Mance Warner is waking up hung over. He looks around to find 1 Called Manders sleeping on a chair and Matthew Justice sleeping on the floor. He wakes them up as 1 Called Manders can’t believe it’s 3:45 in the afternoon. They look for Microman who appears from under a cover in the corner with a woman’s bra on his head. Mancer said come on guys it’s time to go. Microman leaves and the clip ends with the SGC in the hotel room and Mancer’s eyes bugging out. We go into the intro and music to the show.

In the arena action starts off with the introduction of Abismo Negro Jr. The commentating team for this episode are Joe Dombrowski and Christian Cole. Dombrowski talks about the card from Tijuana, Mexico tonight and the Trios Main Event match tonight. Back to the ring, Taurus is introduced next as Negro Jr’s tag team partner. Their opponents are the team of the NWA Tag Team Champions La Rebelión (Bestia 666 & Mecha Wolf). Dombroswki states that the MLW Featherweight Champion will be defending her title later when Champion Taya Valkyrie takes on Delmi Exo.

Opening Match: La Rebelión vs Abismo Negro Jr and Taurus

The match starts off with La Rebelión taking control of the match in the early going. Taurus and Bestia showcase a bunch of luchador moves on each other, causing the fans to applaud what they are seeing. After some back and forth, Taurus begins to take control on Mecha Wolf as we go to commercial break.

During the break we get a commercial advertising MLW Never Say Never event live on Fite on July 8th.

Back from the break, La Rebelión has taken control of the match again. Dombrowski announces Taya Valkyrie has pulled out of her match tonight against Delmi Exo so the match has been postponed. Dombrowski states something is fishy with this story and they will keep us posted with updates.

All 4 men were involved in the match at the same time for quite sometime before Negro Jr and Taurus eventually took advantage and control. It remained that way until La Rebelión mounted a comeback and all 4 men were involved in the match again.

The ending came when Mecha lifted Negro Jr on his shoulders while Bestia 666 performed a flying backstabber on him off the ropes. Mecha then did a suicide dive onto Taurus on the outside of the ring, while Bestia picked up the pinfall for the win.

Result: La Rebelión defeats Abismo Negro Jr and Taurus.

We go to the merchandise stand where Willie Mack is next to the Samoan Swat Team selling Cesar Duran merchandise. John Hennigan shows up with Taya Valkyire and Sam Adonis. They demand Mack to tell them where Cesar Duran was? Mack will tell them what he’s heard about Duran’s whereabouts if he is given a shot at Hennigan’s title. Hennigan obliged and asked again where Duran was? Mack said he’ll tell him what he knows after the match.

Next we get a video of Jacob Fatu cutting a promo, where he calls out The Calling. He states how he is still coming for John Hennigan and his title, but also promises violence for The Calling.

We’re then given an update for the Never Say Never card on July 8th in Philadelphia. As previously advertised, Alex Hammerstone will be defending his world title against Alex Kane. New match was announced as The Calling will be taking on The Samoan Swat Team for the MLW tag team championship, in a fans brings the weapons match. Also advertised for the event is the return of Timothy Thatcher.

We go to the back to see Alex Kane and Mr. Thomas talking. They deny the rumor and claim about the revenue flow for the Bomaye Fight Club. Kane then goes on to say they’ll reveal their backer at Never Say Never.

Next Delmi Exo talks about Taya Valkyrie dodging her. She was suppose to get a title shot tonight but Valkyrie pulled out of the match. Exo goes on to say the MLW fans deserve better than Taya. We then get a live update that Exo will be getting her title shot in two weeks in New York City. Delmi closes by saying Taya’s reign will end in two weeks, and that the God Queen is ready!

We get is a video hyping up B3CCA before we go back to the ring for the main event.

Trios Main Event Match: Team USA (John Hennigan, Sam Adonis, & Gringo Loco) vs Team Mexico (El Hijo Del Vikingo, Rey Horus, & Psycho Clown)

The match starts with Hennigan and Horus trading shoves with each other before Adonis and Gringo jump Horus from behind. After some fighting by all 6 competitors and action getting wild, Hennigan, Adonis, and Gringo take control of the match by trapping Vikingo in the corner. Psycho then gets jumped, as the ref for some reason begins assisting the heels as we go to a break?

Back from the break Psycho is still isolated in the corner. Horus tries to fight all three men but to no prevail as the numbers game catch up with him. Vikingo begins a comeback by jumping from the ring post, bouncing off the ropes and then launching Hennigan and Gringo with a double arm drag. Vikingo, Horus, and Psycho Clown all land dives to their opponents on the floor now and have taken control of the match. The ref begins to run and is being chased by Pyscho for his involvement earlier in the match. The babyfaces remained in control for sometime using chairs at their disposal. Psycho pulls out a leather belt and proceeds to hit Adonis and Gringo with it. He hits a shot on Hennigan as well as the ref!

After on ton of action packed moves, high spots, and near falls by both teams, the ending came when Adonis went up to the top turnbuckle but Psycho avoids the Swanton Bomb. He hits a Code Red to Adonis instead for the three count to pick up the win for his team. The show ends with Hijo del Vikingo, Rey Horus, & Psycho Clown celebrating their victory in the ring.

Result: Team Mexico (El Hijo Del Vikingo, Rey Horus, & Psycho Clown) defeat Team USA (John Hennigan, Sam Adonis, & Gringo Loco)

This episode was quite a bit lackluster for me. It’s a big difference when comparing it to MLW Underground we’ve been use to seeing and even the first week of Fusion last week.

It appears some of the content and matches that were taped on the April 6th War Chamber event in NYC are going to be airing in the upcoming weeks. I am looking forward to this as some good matches and stories came out of this event. My hopes are still pretty high for MLW Fusion in the upcoming weeks.
