On tonight’s edition of Impact Wrestling:

  • Will “TNA Gut Check” prospect Kris Lewie earn a contract and a spot on the TNA roster? The newcomer faces the judges on the broadcast!

– A recap of last week, including a close look at the Aces and 8s brawl.

Austin Aries enters the IMPACT zone. Aries gives credit to Aces and 8s for going all out last week. Mentions how they smashed his arm. He says people have asked him if he was going to forfeit the title and he is not medically cleared to compete. Aries says he doesn’t have to be medically cleared to fight. Also, he is left handed. They smashed the wrong arm! Aries challenges whoever is behind Aces and 8s to a fight. He will sit in the ring until someone accepts his challenge.

Hulk Hogan’s music hits and out comes Hogan and Sting. Hogan says he wants the champ to calm down because they come in peace. Hogan wants everyone to know that he’s back as GM and he thanks Sting for being interim GM.Hogan says if Aces and 8s want to have a bloodbath they will have one! Hogan says whatever Aries wants he can have. Aries says #1 on the list is to get his hands on Aces and 8s. He wants to fight one of the Aces and 8s one and one.

Aces and 8s come otno the big screen. Someone says Hogan and Aries are making their jobs very easy. One thing Aces and 8s do is do things on their terms. He says they will see Aces and 8s a little later on.

Bound for Glories review of tonight’s matches. Next is James Storm vs RVD

After commercial, ODB is on the phone leaving a message for Eric Young saying if he doesn’t call back they are over. She keeps calling back and extending the time limit for the offer. She said she is giving him till next week.

A look at the BFG leaderboard – James Storm, Samoa Joe, RVD, Bully Ray are top four.

Match #1: RVD vs James Storm (Bound for Glory Series Match)

This is the final match for Storm in the BFG series. Storm starts with a RVD in a headlock, RVD tries to break it but Storm keeps him in the lock. RVD breaks the hold briefly until Storm locks him in again. RVD with punches to the stomach and throws Storm to the ring but gets knocked down. Storm keeps control of the match. Storm runs into RVD in the corner but RVD reverses it to take control. As Storm is standing on the apron, RVD knocks him down. RVD flies over the ring onto Storm and we go to commercial.

Back and forth match. While RVD does his signature ROB VAN DAM, Storm gets up and superkicks RVD for the win. (Sorry I wrote more but accidentally erased it)

Winner: Cowboy James Storm

Madison Rayne is heading to the ring and will be up next…

Madison Rayne is introduced for the next match of the night. Taryn Terrell is in the ring again as referee. Rayne gets on the mic to talk about a phone call she got from Brooke Hogan informing her that she would have a match tonight. Rayne says she is being given her rematch for the KO title that someone (looking at Taryn) cost me.

ODB’s music hits and she comes out apparently to face Madison Rayne. ODB is on the mic and says there is bad news for Rayne because she got the same phone call from Brooke Hogan. Rayne calls time out and says she is not ready for this yet. Rayne tells Taryn to keep ODB back and ring the bell so she can make ODB famous for a few minutes.

ODB spits in Rayne’s face and starts a beatdown. ODB beats Rayne is an extremely quicj match.

Winner: ODB

Eric Young comes out to the IMPACT zone with his belt and KFC! ODB looks confused, but grabs some chicken to eat. ODB looks Eric up and down as he is in a suit. ODB yells at him saying where have you been? Young says he has been in Hollywood doing a TV show. But he has beer and a giant bucket of chicken and tries to leave with her. ODB stops him and questions where the real Eric Young is. Crowd chants WE WANT CHICKEN! Eric says you are right and gets the crowd clapping as he takes his clothes off. Nice patriotic undies. ODB jumps and Eric and they kiss and celebrate.

Video Package on the Styles/Lynche story. Styles says hes not done with Kazarian and Daniels, but he is focused on BFG. TNA Gut Check is next…

Back from commercial…Al Snow says he was disappointed. They all agree and discuss his weaknesses and negatives. Positive is his back story aka LIFE (why is that positive), but they will keep an open mind.

Hogan and Sting are backstage and say they smell blood and Hogan wants them in the office. Daniels and Kazarian enter their office. Kazarian says they can’t get fired and Daniels says they are friends. Hogan says Daniels and Kazarian are whats wrong with IMPACT. Hogan says they are going to fight and he hopes they get their brains beaten and tag champs leave.

Samoa Joe vs AJ Styles is up next…

Bound for Glories Match – Samoa Joe vs AJ Styles

Styles is in 5th place in BFG and needs a win here. Samoa Joe is in second place behind Storm. Slow start to the match as Tenay and Taz discuss that first place gets to choose his opponent at No Surrender. Styles is clearly faster and in better shape than Joe. Joe leaves the ring as Styles tries to jump on him but Samoa Joe just kicks him right in the chest to take control of the match. Samoa Joe traps Styles into a crossface to try for the submission win. Joe traps Styles’ arm but AJ gets his leg on the rope so Joe has to break it. Joe misses a splash and both men on their backs. As both rise AJ throws punches and springboard clothesline to Samoa Joe. Styles puts his in arm breaker, but Joe gets his foot on the ropes. AJ now keeps control of the match until Joe counters and drives Styles down to the mat. Back and forth action until they begin to exchange submission moves. Joe turns it into a pin for the win. A little slow at first, but the submission exchange was good.

Winner: Samoa Joe

TNA Gut Check is up next…

Its time for the decision by Taz, Bruce Prichard and Al Snow. Taz is up first. Taz says he respects guys who try to become a wrestler. He says he thinks Kris’ life is interesting. However, Taz says no. Prichard is up next. Bruce says no also. With two out of three already saying no, Kris Lewie will not get a contract.

Joey Ryan in the stands yells at the three judges until Al Snow gets in his face. Ryan throws water at him and runs away as Prichard holds Snow back.

Jeff Hardy vs Kurt Angle is next…

Back from commercial…Jeremy Park is talking to Hogan and Sting. Park says he can help with the Aces and 8s situation. Hogan says if Park can help, then he can do so.

Main Event: Bound for Glory Series Match: Jeff Hardy vs Kurt Angle

Hardy needs to win this and next week to stay alive. If Angle wins he can get into top four. Good back and forth start to the match until Hardy flies out and lands on Angle on the outside. Hardy takes control as he brings Angle back into the ring. Angle reverses and knocks down Hardy as we go to commercial..

As we come back, Angle still in control until Jeff Hardy starts fighting back. Hardy with the double leg drop and dropkick and then a two count. Hardy tries for a twist of fate but Angle reverses into a german suplex. Three of them. Angle stalking Hardy, tries for Angle slam, but Hardy turns into a twist of fate. Very close two count by Hardy. Hardy hits whisper in the win and another VERY close two count. Angle hits a belly belly suplex and takes off his straps. Angle hits an Angle Slam and a pin, but Hardy kicks out. Hardy hits another twist of fate, takes off his shirt and climbs to the top. Nails a swanton bomb and ANOTHER CLOSE TWO COUNT. Wow. This is very close. Close kick out by both. Angle puts Hardy into ankle lock but Hardy reverses it and knocks Angle down. Both are on top, Angle falls and Hardy hits another swanton and gets the three count. By far, best match of the night.

Winner: Jeff Hardy

Kurt Angle is officially out of the BFG Series.

Time to meet final five in BFG Series: RVD, Samoa Joe, Bully Ray, Jeff Hardy and Cowboy James Storm.

Next week, one of the five will be eliminated.

Hardy vs Samoa Joe, Bully Ray vs RVD next week.

Austin Aries is on his way to the ring, up next he will call out Aces and 8s..

When we come back from commercial Austin Aries is on his way out to the ring. He says its time. He calls out Aces and 8s. Hulk Hogan’s music hits again as Hogan and Sting come out followed by other TNA superstars. Bully Ray, Storm, Hardy. Hogan says lets see all of Aces and 8s’ faces. Members of Aces and 8s enter ringside. Hogan says we got our finest in the ring, you send yours. One member gets in the ring. Aries and the A/8 guy begin fighting. Aries hits a spear as all Aces and 8s and TNA superstars enter the ring and its an all out brawl. Hogan is smacking people with a bat. Aries to unmask a member, but is attacked by another Aces and 8s member. TNA superstars don’t know where that particular one came from. All surround Aries and look confused and concerned as IMPACT goes off the air…
